What we collect
When you create a Tinkr account, we store your email address and the name associated with your sign-in method. We also store the MAC addresses of ESP32 boards you register so we can identify your devices. Vercel Analytics records anonymous page-view counts (see the Analytics section below). That is everything we collect today.
Children's data
Children never create accounts on Tinkr. Family members join a lab session through a guest link shared by the account holder. Guest sessions store no personal data: no name, no email address, no persistent identifier of any kind. The account holder (a parent or guardian) is the only person whose information we hold, and only the data listed above. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
Google OAuth data use
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google as part of the sign-in process. We use these only to create and identify your Tinkr account. We do not share them with third parties, use them for advertising, or store them outside of your account record.
Age requirement
Account holders must be 13 or older. Children participate in Tinkr as guests under their parent or guardian's account. No account is required for a guest, and no personal data is collected from guests.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how people use Tinkr at a high level. It tracks anonymous page-view counts only. No cookies are set. No personal identifiers are collected or sent to Vercel.
